Back from vacation…

On a gondola @ the Venetian

Well, we made it back from Vegas where we spent Spring Break.  We had lots of fun, so now its time to get back to “work”.

I’m making great progress on the revised “Pillar” WIP and I’ll get a picture posted sometime this week.  Haven’t worked a whole lot on the vanity, but can’t do everything.

I meet with my SBDC counselor tomorrow morning to give updates ‘n’ stuff.  My hubby brought up an idea about opening a baked potatoe biz here in LBK (the one that was here closed).  He’s trying to find a better job since he’s graduated.  May bring that up tomorrow too.

Time to get off the computer and get some work done.  TTYL.

Still working…

Well, I’ve been working on the updated version of “Pillar” for the last week/so and its SO much easier than my first draft.

The pattern is simpler to read and, being that there are bigger blocks of color, I’m not changing thread every 5-7 stitches.  Those who stitch regularly know how annoying that is.

I’ll post pix as soon as I get a bit more stitched.  Its looking really good right now.  🙂

OK, so here’s what happened…

I started working some more on “Pillar” the other day.  I made the pattern SO complicated that I can’t figure out where to start again.  It made me extremely frustrated.

Anyway, I spent most of yesterday re-doing the pattern.  I made it smaller (10x13in) and dropped the colors to 30.  Its amazing how much better it looks!!  You can actually see the faces and clothing.

Luckily, I already had most of the colors, so I only had to buy some more aida cloth and 4 extra colors.  Another trip to Hobby Lobby.  🙂

I’ll post pix as soon as I get some more stitched.
