Here we go…

Well, thus far, this week has been eventful.  School started Monday for my 6th grader (middle school!) and Kindergartener.  They’ve both had an awesome week.  LCU (Go Chapparels!!) also started Monday, so the post office has been uber-busy!

I haven’t worked on “Pillar” as much as I’ve wanted to.  😦  Just can’t seem to get myself motivated to work on it and I’m SO close to finishing it.  My next project, waiting in the wings, is “Moonlit Rose” which I scanned from a drawing I did in high school (Go Westerners!!).

Working at a university has got me thinking about going to school myself.  Possibly, next fall.  An art degree may help me in this business venture, in addition to my personal abilities.  LCU has some great art degrees, but they’re not what I’m looking for.  I checked Texas Tech (Go Red Raiders!!) for info about their art programs.  Got a lot to choose from.  I’m really looking at the Painting degree (watercolors, acrylic, oils).  I checked today to see if they offered night classes-they only offer 1 or 2 classes/semester @ night, which means most of the classes are daytime.  ?!?!?!  That makes me upset and frustrated.  I currently work PT @ LCU and the movie job, pick the kids up from school, volunteer Wednesdays at church, not to mention all the day-to-day stuff.  I think it would help if Andrew could get a better paying job where it wouldn’t rely on me so much for the extra $$, but we’re still waiting on that.  I don’t know if it’ll work out/not.  Kinda in a funk now that I’ve unloaded.

Send up a prayer for me.  🙂

August Update…

Been busy….again.  But what can you expect w/2 sons, school about to start and a hubby to take care of.  😀

I have done a little on the designing front.  I used my previously mentioned transfer paper and created a lovely design.  I used a great picture of a fish and the Chinese character for “fish”.  FYI, its “Yu”.  I think it looks great and the kids learned a new word.  I LOVE that!!

Obviously, I haven’t stitched it yet.  I have SOOO many just waiting.  I am planning to send some designs that I printed onto the fabric paper to my mom (stamped projects) this next week, so hopefully, she’ll be able to get those done relatively fast.  Then, I can submit them to the designer website and maybe start making some $$.

Well, I gotta go do some housework and possibly work on “Pillar” some more.

Talk again soon,

Wendi
