About Wendi C…
My name is Wendi and I live in Lubbock, TX (about 2 hours south of Amarillo and 6 hours west of DFW). I am married to my high school sweetheart, Andrew, and we have 2 wonderful sons, Jacob and Connor.
I have been cross stitching since I was about 8 or 9 when my mom showed me how with some stamped cross stitch projects. I basically taught myself to do counted cross stitch with some help from my grandmother in my teens. I enjoy doing both, but stamped projects are getting harder to find. I started creating my own patterns in 2004 when my wonderful hubby bought the Digistitch software for my Valentine’s Day present. I had a home business, Coat Closet Designs, designing cross stitch charts, which I have recently started phasing out to pursue other adventures.
I also attend Texas Tech University, and am planning to change my major from studio art to visual studies, pursuing a art certification.
I hope to use this blog to discuss ALL of my crafty pursuits, not just cross stitching.

Hey Wendi! I just wanted to say good for you and good luck with everything! Hey, you can even bring some of your stuff to work on at work during slow times. You could probably get a lot done!!

Ok, now I know what you’re making I can say that you wouldn’t be a threat to me! lol I’m mainly flowers with another shop that deals with more mature stitching.
But really, check out http://www.etsy.com and maybe think about selling your patterns there. It’s only 20 cents to list and they take a small percentage (3.5%?) if it sells and the listing is good for 4 months.
Anyway, just trying to help out a fellow cross stitcher!
Peace and happy stitching!

That’s very flattering. You can email at coats97@msn.com. Not sure if I can help due to student teaching this semester but if I can I’d like to try.
