Hey!! Look!! A new post…!!

I guess “soon” is a relative term.  Haven’t written in almost a year.  Sorry everyone.

Been busy, which isn’t a cop-out, just the truth.  With the new change in major, plus the boys’ activities-just went through driver’s ed, new job and prepping for our 1st Prom, in addition to the daily grind, there’s not alot of “free time” to breath.  Yes, I take a few minutes to browse Facebook/Pinterest to unwind, but it doesn’t fully help.

Haven’t done any personal crafting b/c I’m occupied with school projects and family stuff.  Hoping to play with some ideas over the summer for my personal benefit and maybe crossover for teaching.  🙂

Pinterest is my new best friend for inspiration, so I’ve got quite the collection(s) going on.  I have tried some of them and others are in the wings.

I guess I need to get back to my school work and keeping dreaming of a time to be crafty.

Talk again…sometime…hopefully not a year from now.

Stitchin’ to keep warm this Feb…

Well, been busy the last few weeks-school for the kids has started & mine too, so needless to say, not alot of stitchin’s been going on.  🙂

I did finish a project for a friend of my son, but forgot to take a pic.  Sorry ya’ll.  I stitched “J C D C” (Jesus Christ Disciple Crew) on a bandana and had it look like an ACDC cover.  I’ll try to get a pic soon.  I think it turned out pretty good.

I had inspiration hit during my drawing class a week/two ago, so had to jump on it!!  I bought an apron to keep my clothes clean-working w/charcoal & ink and thought it would be cool to add something to it.  And w/o further ado…

Hoping to get some of my xstitch charts printed out and sell them at the Texas Tech School of Art Show in March.  Keep your fingers crossed!!

SYHO!!

The Stitch Your Heart Out (SYHO) Campaign was created to excite stitchers with a new and fun project, create an interest in stitching for non-stitchers and introduce stitching to the next generation while promoting heart health.

One piece of the campaign is the SYHO Designer’s Encyclopedia.  Starting in February 2010, the first Friday of every month for 12 months a new design will be released by industry leading designers, with great interviews, interactive games, fun LNS stitch nights, prizes, heart healthy recipes and much much more! Once you have stitched all 12 designs, you will receive FREE instructions on how to assemble the 12 designs into a stitched designer encyclopedia.

CherryWood Design Studios will be design #2 in the series of 12 designs released in 2010.

Be a part of SYHO and find out more about other campaign happenings on the SYHO Blog at http://www.stitchyourheartout-lts.blogspot.com/.

Just for fun…

This has nothing to do with xstitch, but thought it would be fun.  🙂  Friend of mine did this too.

These can be LOTS of fun… Type your first name preceded by the word “unfortunately” into Google and see what comes up.

Unfortunately, Wendy gets busted, the cops are called, and by the time she is able to pay her way out of jail and make it back to the grocery store, Lucy is gone.

Unfortunately Wendy is unable to retain legal aid and is looking for financial donations. ($$ is always good)

Unfortunately Wendy is probably better known for the nude portfolio she did for Playboy.  (not hardly; LOL)

Unfortunately, Wendy will not be going to prison over the donation scandal.  (YEA!!)

Unfortunately, Wendy faces conflict between her job and her friends, as a giant zombie pike is infecting people with crazed undead desire for fish, keeping her from Lacey’s performance
